Rewear that Blouse

Do you ever stare at your closet and feel like you have nothing to wear? Of course you do! What girl doesn't. I mean don't get me wrong, I make use of everything (well mostly) I buy and wear it down until it's time to toss or donate.

So the other day I found myself flipping through my closet to see what I could bring out again. I found this blue stripe button up blouse and thought I would wear it differently than I normally do, which usually consists of tucking into dress pants for work. Instead, I simply tied the bottom, paired it with over-distressed boyfriend jeans and added my new yellow cross-body bag.

I find that the over-distressed boyfriend jean look makes even the simplest outfits pop. Don't get me wrong, I still love the classic skinny jean and blouse combo, but mixing up a blouse with a distressed boyfriend jean really just gets me more excited!

This week I challenge you ladies to find a piece in your  closet that you haven't worn in a while and recreate the way you normally wear it. It can be even as simple as cuffing the sleeve or tucking it in. I would love to hear about how you switched up that top that maybe you've been meaning to toss!

  1. Love these casual polished vibes. Perfect mix with the yellow bag too, really makes everything pop! Finding new ways to wear older items feels so exhilarating since you didn't have to go out and buy something new!

  4. That's also something that I want and need to do more of. I kind of have a favorite way to wear a shirt or whatnot and miss out on mixing it with other pieces that could make for an interesting outfit. Cheers to mixing! :)

  14. I love and I mean really LOVE this styling! I have a pinstripe Gant shirt that is slightly too big for me and so it's just sitting in my wardrobe, however your idea of knotting the bottom could really transform it! I love the pop of colour from the bag by the way and those heels are to die for! :)

  15. Very cute outfit! You did a great job restyling it! I usually wear my clothes down to the bone, as well. I find myself pulling out dresses and tops I've had for almost 10 years. It's great to be able to get so much use out of them! I'll see what I can dig out for my next post. ;)
